2024 Candidates

Abigail Richards

Presidential Candidate

Animator, Author, Musician, and Presidential Candidate for Emerald Party’s 2024 Election, Abigail Richards is excited to lead the Emerald Party this year. Raised in Virginia and Maryland, she loves the forests and rain, unfortunately having neither available in her current location of Texas.
In her second year as a member of the Emerald party and her third iGovern camp approaches, she looks forward to tri-partisanship considerations and running a strong campaign in the coming election.
Her political skills include social expertise, navigating the FEC policies and writing bills that protect and provide for the American people.

In office as President, she’d like to achieve the complete deconstruction of hostile architecture as well as promoting Mental Health Awareness. Further still, she aspires to prioritize re-balancing the economy. Additionally she stands with Homeschoolers and Public Education reform this coming year. Balancing between homeschool and private schools throughout the years has given her a unique perspective on the state of American youth.

Abigail Pierce

Vice Presidential Candidate

Abigail Pierce is a high school graduate from California. From childhood she has been involved in homeschool advocacy involving her frequently in political activities. As the oldest of eight kids she is ready and more than willing to tackle any overwhelming job she's faced with. Abigail’s hobbies consist of writing fictional works and she loves to hang out with her friends doing whatever activities are available. She currently works for a non profit organization devoted to defending the rights of parents and homeschool freedom in California and she’s dedicated to helping keep our country free and independent as our forefathers established it.

As she returns to iGovern for her second year she’s excited to face the odds and work with the members of the Emerald party to make this the most memorable year in Emerald party history.

2023 Candidates

Joseph Pardo II

Presidential Candidate

Joseph Pardo is probably unlike anyone you've met before. Raised as a missionary kid on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico (bonus points if you know what Puerto Rico is! Hint: not a country). Joseph enjoys reading, writing, learning about space exploration, and laughing at people who are scared of hurricanes.  Joseph is completing his dual-enrollment courses this summer at Liberty University Online Academy. He plans to attend College of the Ozarks in the Fall of 2023 or the Spring of 2024. He is a four year iGovern East veteran, where he has been everything from Chairman to Senior Member of the BBB (Big Bipartisan Brotherhood). He also has attended the March for Life in Washington DC for 3 years, and volunteers at his parent's pregnancy care center in PR. A self-proclaimed squid philanthropist, Joseph is excited that the Emerald party selected the squid to be our mascot and he is excited to initiate YOU into the Squid Squad of 2023!

In office, The Emerald party is confident that Joseph has what it takes to bring good legislation to the American people. Joseph's strengths include perseverance, people-skills, and political know-how. He is excited to put these skills to work if he is elected President in iGovern 2023. For more details on what Joseph plans to accomplish in office, see our Party Platform.

Hal Woodard

Vice Presidential Candidate

Introducing Hal Woodard, an 11th grade student at Christian Community School (CCS) in Springfield, Tennessee. Hal is an avid lover of nature and relishes spending his time outdoors, whipping up tasty dishes in the kitchen, and engrossing himself in audiobooks. With three years of speech and debate under his belt, and being amongst to top contenders on his debate team, he is no stranger to a healthy argument. Hal is thrilled to be attending iGovern for the third time this year and has complete confidence in the ability of Emerald to make a lasting impact on third parties for years to come at camp!
